Top 3 Best & Fastest Super Cars For Racing in GTA 5

Last Updated: September 27th, 2017

Super Cars can be a blast to race in Grand Theft Auto V. With all of the top speeds in the game and most superb looking cars, this is definitely the most popular racing class in the game to race with. Check of the cars below to see which car you’ll fair best with to win the most races possible. These are, in my opinion the best cars in the GTA V online Super car class to race against your foes with.

GTA V Fastest Super Cars for Racing to WIn

1. Best GTA V Super Car – Dewbauchee Vagner

Dewbauchee Vagner - Best GTA V Super Cars for RacingAfter the release of the Smugglers Update for GTA V, the Vagner became the best overall Super Car to race with. In fact, this car is pretty much all you need to race with in terms of overall speed, cornering and thus overall racing. So if you are looking to purchase just one Super Car to race with, the Vagner is the car to go with. This car has the highest traction out of any car in GTA V. The Vagner has a higher speed than the below RE-&B, is better at cornering and is just the best choice for racing.

Dewbauchee Vagner Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

2. Best GTA V Super Car – Annis RE-7B

annis-re-7b-super car-best-racing-car-gta-vThis is a two door super fast super class car in GTA V. This car was released during the Cunning Stunts update and was the fastest car in the game during that time. This is still a great overall choice and does quite well in stunt races. Technically, if we take into account just how good the three cars released curing the cunning stunts update, they should have all been placed into a car class of their own (such as a Race Car class?), but now things have slightly changed…just slightly, as they all perform amazingly when compared to all the previous Super Cars, especially when fully loaded and racing.

Annis RE-7B Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

3. Best GTA V Super Car – Ocelot XA-21

Ocelot XA 21 - Best GTA V Supercard for RacingThe XA-21 is a fairly decent car especially when it was initially released and can be compared to the T20 or Osiris Super Cars and it doesn’t necessarily have a great top speed and doesn’t fare too well when doing stunt races.

Ocelot XA-21 Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

Previous Super Cars on the List

The following are still great super cars to race with, but they has to be bumped with the addition of some new Super Cars in recent updates from Rockstar. I’ve honestly had success with most of the Supers that you see on this page and really it sometimes just comes down to the specific map your racing on or even your specific driving style. This list has grown significantly since this article has been posted, which strongly shows the evolution of the Super Car racing class in GTA V.

4. Best GTA V Super Car – Pegassi Tempesta

Pegassi Tempesta GTA V in the Fastest Super CarThe Tempesta is a very easy to drive Super Car when compared to below Zentorno. This can be a very good “starter” car that’s easy to drive for most standard races.

Pegassi Tempesta Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

5. Best GTA V Super Car – Zentorno

Zentorno GTA V Super CarThis actually used to be the fastest top speed super car in Grand Theft Auto V, however this is no longer the case. But the Zentorno is third place currently in terms of one of the best Super Cars for racing on most tracks with. This car is not easiest to drive, but with practice it is a very good racing supercar. This car has been around for a very long time, so if you have one already hanging around in your garage, then you should have no problem keeping it in your Super Car roster. Like most of the super cars this does have great acceleration, but this car in particular has the fastest in the entire game. The Zentoro has good handling and in particular it does have a good weight distribution making it easy to stay in control, however there is now a tad bit of an oversteer, so watch out for that.

In the online auto store legendarymotorsport.net, the Zentoro will cost you $725 000 and it was released as a result of the High Life Update to GTA V online.

Zentoro Stats

  • Acceleration (0-60mph ): 2.8 seconds
  • Top Speed (mph): 213
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): 6.8 Litre V12
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (lb): n/a

6. Best GTA V Super Car – Emperor ETR1

emperor-etr1-gta-v-best-of-super-cars-for-racingYet another car released in the Cunning Stunts update in GTA V, the ETR1 is a very balanced car, and comparable to the Tyrus – if you have either this one of the Tyrus ALL other Super Cars will be driving in your dust. The spoiler provides a ton of downward force while accelerating, while being able to maintain speed around corners.

Emperor ETR1 Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

7. Best GTA V Super Car – Progen Tyrus

progen-tyrus-gta-v-fastest-super-carsRight before this, the X80 Proto was the fastest car and that was for about only 2 months, too quick to have even been given a chance in the top 3 of this article. The Tyrus corners very well and can be taken around any corner quite quickly. This car has a high top speed and a high revving engine that sounds so satisfying. This is a good choice for the more budget conscious top-end Super Car racers.

Progen Tyrus Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

8. Best GTA V Super Car – X80 Proto

x80-proto-super-car-racingThis was a two door super car released during the Finance and Felony update of GTA V. This car appeared so quickly and disappeared just as quickly as it was the fastest Super Car for a mere 2 months before the Cunning Stunts update. If you have this car still, you might still do ok, but if you are serious about racing then I would first try to purchase any of the Cunning Stunts vehicles above.

Progen T20 Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): n/a
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): n/a
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

9. Best GTA V Super Car – Progen T20

Progen T20 GTA V Fastest Super Cars for Racing 2If you’re looking for the best of the best in Super Cars, then here you’ve found it. The Progen T20 was introduced with second of the Ill-Gotten Gain DLC releases in GTA V, allowing the T20 to top the new Osiris seen below just about a month after the Osiris’s release. This is the quickest car in GTA V slightly beating the Osiris. The T20. Progen is a new car manufacture brought to the GTA V world and the car reflects a real life Mclaren car. If you have the money then I would suggest purchasing the T20, however its not so much faster that you couldn’t still beat it using a Osiris or Zentorno.

Progen T20 Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): 3.0 seconds
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): 220
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): 4L 800HP V8
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): AWD
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

10. Best GTA V Super Car – Pegassi Osiris

Pegassi Osiris GTA V Super Class Racing CarThis car was introduced with the first Ill-Gotten Gain DLC update from Rockstar and at the time it topped the super cards category, but that only lasted a month or so until the above T20 was introduced. This is an all wheel drive car and it is very very quick. This car can be very smooth to drive, and you have to make sure to power down some on corners. Overall though, this is an easy to drive car depending on the type of driver you are. Since the Osiris is a hybrid-electric, it doesn’t suffer a speed loss during gear shifts, which may account for the smooth driving feel and quickness.

Osiris Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): 3.2 seconds
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): 230
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): 6L V12 750HP
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

11. Best GTA V Super Car – Turismo R

Turismo R GTA V Super CarThis car is fast, The Turismo will cost you $500 000 at the legendarymotorsport.net GTA V online store, making it a cheaper purchase then some of the other cars you will see below in the top three best super car class in GTA V cars. Given a skilled and seasoned driver, you can win any race hands down with this car. If you think you’ll make a couple of mistakes now and then, well I would the recommend. the below for for yourself. This car though, once you get the hang of using its momentum to hug every turn, will do you a world of favours when racing.

Turismo R Stats (In Game Stated Stats)

  • Acceleration (0-60mph / 0 – 100kmh): 2.8 seconds
  • Top Speed (mph / kph): 210
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): 7.2 litre V12
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): n/a
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (Kg / lb): n/a

12. Best GTA V Super Car – Vapid FMJ

VAPID FMJ GTA V SideThe Vapid FMJ was released during the GTA V Finance & Felony update, which doesn’t make it a “previously top” GTA V Super Car, but a more recent one. I chose to include this somewhere in the list, because Rockstar has made the Supercar class super balanced and technically each can has its own unique attributes. Th FMJ has superior traction and can potentially make it best for Airport track type races.

Vapid FMJ Stats

  • Acceleration (0-60mph): n/a
  • Top Speed (mph): 121
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): RMR V8
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): RWD
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): n/a
  • Mass (lb): n/a

13. Best GTA V Super Car – Entity XF

Entity XF GTA V Super Car

The Entity XF I would say is a very good overall car, however the main point I would emphasize is keeping your speed. There is a great traction on this car, which does make this very easy and my advise would be the avoid the brake on this car as much as possible.

Due to this cars all wheel drive, there is great traction, so I would recommend this car to any general driver and even a greta driver can win most races with this. With such a greta combination of acceleration, traction and speed this can be an every persons car for only $795 000 at the legendarymotorsport.net in GTA V online.

Entity XF Stats

  • Acceleration (0-60mph): 3.5 seconds
  • Top Speed (mph): 240
  • Engine (Capacity + Layout + Fuel): 4.5 Litre
  • Drivetrain (AWD / FWD / RWD): AWD
  • Gearbox (Number + Type): 6
  • Mass (lb): 3307

Did you say “bugattie”. First, it is a proper noun so capitalize the “b”. Second, it is spelled Bugatti. Also, “mclaren” is a proper noun. McLaren is also stylized as such. The M and the L are capitalized. You also need a period at the end of your sentences.

T20 is by far the best car for speed and looks same speed as the buggati only thing faster on a straight is a motorbike

    1. JackTheRipper425 says:

And the Rapid GT. Don’t forget the Rapid GT when you lower it manually.

  6. Chris says:

It’s derived from the mclaren mp4

  7. Hoche says:

I recomend to avoid the t20, its got good top speed but lacks on grip and not very stable over bumps(the rear spoiler its not functional, just decoration) . Zentorno(oversteers but easy to control) and osiris are the way to go, and on tracks with no long straights, the entity and turismo rule. Not to mention the adder still the one with better top speed although t20 reaches it faster.
I recomend to people starting with the turismo, its a quarter the price of the t20 and will smoke it on tracks with many turns, plus since most people play with catch up on, top speed its pointless

    1. papasmurf4178 says:

I hate catch up, if you cant catch up without it you shouldn’t win.

  8. James says:

    My opinion:
    1) T20. Adder is only better on the motorway, straight lines)
    2) Orsiris
    3) Entity
    4) Zentorno
    5) Adder
    6) Turismo
    My opinion for racing

    1. Sai says:

      Jester (race car)

    2. papasmurf4178 says:

Agree but would swap Entity and Zentorno for 3rd best.

    3. jackallen16 says:

I guarantee you will not beat me with any of those top 3 if I hae zentorno

    4. spacemanjupiter (@spacemanjupiter) says:

Pretty much my thoughts. Love my t20 and I feel it’s great around corners. I also prefer my Entity over my Zentorno. I still use my entity more than anything else.

  9. Bobby says:

    forgot the adder boys.

  10. Bobby says:

Hocho what are you saying! The spoiler is not functional it comes up when you brake, and it has great grip it is the best for wallrides! The bumps I agree but with any car it will spin out.

  11. Nick says:

Bobby ask any YouTuber any race the adder alway keeps its grip on a wall ride the t20 just drifts up or down so you just fall off

  12. Jeff says:

    T20 handles like crap

  13. Dj says:

The tursimo is not faster than the zentorno that’s a lie

  14. DeezNuts says:

I Immediately stopped reading when you listed the T20 as fastest, you and the rest of the morons who jump on the new cars in every DLC claiming they’re the “best” because they’re new. The adder is, and has always been, the car with the highest top speed. Park an Adder and a T20 in your garage, and then look at their stats. The adder’s speed is higher. Bunch of dipshits, I swear..

    1. Monkey Evolved says:

      Dear DeezNuts,

This article does not state that the T20 is the “fastest”, but the better overall supercar, which is an overall better cars based on acceleration, speed and handling. The add can eventually obtain a better overall top speed yes. Also keep in mind this article is over 6 months old, so there have been more DLC’s.

  15. Djalon21 says:

    I like t20 and zentorno

  16. stunt homie says:

I think the Osiris is the overall best supercar just because it is one of the fastest and easily handled, but it also looks really cool. No one here really considered the look of these cars

  17. Walker says:

    Entity goes 240 mph

  18. Hunter says:

I was able to go across the whole map with the entity in almost exactly 2 minutes. Every other car i raced was 2:30 or above.

  19. TriViLL says:

I’m a Big racer addict with more than 400 wins and in my opinion the zentorno is still the Best.
Great acceleration top speed braking and great balance thanks to the AWD. Only the adder and the banshee 900r are faster in straight lignes. I have everyone aof these cars and the Zentorno is still the Best in a good driver’s hand. About the AWD the adder the zentorno and the sultan Rs are only AWD supercars…
(it’s a shame that the sultan is so slow with such a great handling)

    1. Exosdar says:

Is the banshee900R good in races?

      1. Garrett Slezak says:

From personal experience, I say no for stunt races. The Banshee 900R is the fastest car in a straight line, so yes for drag races at the airport or impromptu races on the highway. The car has mad oversteer, that is why it is a no for stunt races which usually have sharp turns which cause said oversteer.

  22. Drako says:

Well, this page is a bit inaccurate, in MY OPINION the good order is:

1- t20- it has the best acceleration
2-osiris- its like a combined zentorno and entity. it’s a bit more stable than zentorno
3.zentorno- with that price of 725.000 it’s OP. Almost the same stats of the t20 and osiris and the best car-looking in the game :).
    4-entity- best traction car? i think 🙂
5-turismo r- this car is underrated… It’s very good for races too.

Banshee 900R just broked the game… The adder is now a shit cause this car. It has better top speed and that was the only thing that adder was the best.
    RIP adder 🙁

My choice? Zentorno if u aren’t rich
    t20 if u are rich
    easy right? 😀

Sorry for my english, i’m spanish 😛

    1. crude says:

      yes this is true

    1. No says:

      I think its the infernus.

    2. Bam Bam says:

I personally like the torizmo for top speed handling but the zorentornois good for the city

  24. Jeroen says:

What i find strange is that none talk bout the banshee. Atm my top speed is 343.3mph.
it needs Some skill to drive. But once you got the flow😏
Only need the lvl 100 boost installed.
After that i’m gonna check for higher topspeed

  25. Bruno Pedrón says:

looking at the stats only, overall the correct order is:

    1- Tyrus (Progen)
    2- RE-7B (Annis)
    3- X80 Proto (Grotti)
    4- T20 (Progen)
    5- FMJ (Vapid)

Hi Matthew thanks for laving a constructive comment. Did you guys use a particular track to test?

  29. BlueEclipse12 says:

My Zentorno feels about as fast as my T20, it’s a good deal to just go with the Zentorno. It feels the same and isn’t a expensive.

  30. Sam says:

Why is nobody talking about the banshee 900r? It’s by far the fastest. I have a track and no other car in the game can even see the bumper on that thing in a drag race. It’s insane!

    1. Garrett Slezak says:

I’m really surprised there is zero mention of the Nero Custom in both the article and the comments. Surely that thing is better than at least half of the cars mentioned here?

    1. Monkey Evolved says:

Great catch. The only reason the NERO custom is not in the list is that when it came out it wasn’t necessarily in the “top 3” super cars for overall racing, so upon release it never made it on to the list. Above you do see the top 3 cars, and when a new car makes the list the other cars get pushed down, so from cars 4 onward, there may be better ones in between, but they are in order of when they were at the top of the list. Each update does bring unique differences between each car and I do agree the NERO custom is great and would fare well in races.

      1. Timsalabimbo says:

You are right in saying it would fare well in races. It does fare well in races! In fact, when you use it during a race like Plummet, it easily beats the RE-7B. Or at least, I’m able to beat RE-7B’s when using my Nero Custom. And I highly doubt it has anything to do with my racing style, since Plummet is pretty much just straight lines.

  36. Alexander Welby says:

Budget concious? Tyrus? It’s 2.5 mil!
